Updated Beauty Favs

It’s been 2 years since I last shared my favorite beauty products worth mentioning! Here are some noteworthy products I’m loving today:

  1. Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint

This is the single most beautiful, easiest base product I have ever used. As I get older, I do tend to lean more towards ease and skin-like, as opposed to the heavier foundations I used to love in my early twenties. I still gravitate towards a full coverage product like the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation for longer wear and photo days, but if you’re looking for an every day, perfected, “natural,” glow-from-within, kind of look that lasts — Lisa Eldridge is your girl!

Unfortunately, perfection comes with one very big inconvenience. As far as I can tell, so far it’s only sold on her website… where it ships from the UK. I’m SO sorry! I promise the wait is worth it if this sounds like your dream for daily wear (errands, the office, etc.) I was shade T3 for winter, and I just ordered T6 for summer. Just don’t forget to shake it before each use. LINK

2. Hourglass Brush

To go along with the above product, I caved and saw someone using this exact brush to apply it. I’m sorry to say that this is also worth the investment! It has quickly become my favorite makeup brush I’ve ever used. I love the shape for getting coverage applied all over quickly. I love the way it fits into the various crevices of my face - under the eyes, around the nose, etc. with again, incredible ease!

This + the Lisa Eldridge skin tint = the easiest base application I’ve ever experienced in my 33 years. I find myself applying on days I’d normally skip makeup just because it takes two seconds to do this base, a little blush, and a mascara to feel like a million bucks instead of just “fine.” LINK

3. Wonderskin Lip Tint

I first learned of this product from one of my favorite influencers where she was using it as a lip liner. I thought that was genius! She mentioned that some people really disliked it (as you can tell from the reviews), but that she believed any dislike was most likely user error. I can totally see what she means. You do need to be precise.

I first tried the shade “whimsical,” hoping to replace my previous favorite natural-looking lipliner (NYX in nude pink). However, whimsical was too dark and the wrong tone for me. I loved the concept so much that I ended up purchasing the shade “romance,” which is truly a fun pop of color that is just enough fun for daily wear. I just have to be careful I don’t leave it on too long, or it gives more of a red lip vibe.

I just went back for “charming” hoping to find that perfect natural shade again.

Wipe off with a wet cloth after 20 seconds or so if you’re doing the lip liner trick! It lasts SO much longer than a regular lipliner. Like, hours longer! And yes, the color guard (so you can see where you’ve applied) really is that scary, but fun(!), metallic purple. LINK

4. NYX Pink Highlighter

If you love a cool pink blush, this is a dream to highlight your cheeks (and your nose, too, if that’s your thing) with! I’m sure the other shades are also great, but this pairs with my all-time favorite blush (She’s A Doll by Patrick Ta) so incredibly perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about how beautiful it is and, again — EASY to apply. I use the pink shade “U Butta Werk.”

I previously repurchased the MAC highlighter in “Soft and Gentle” for almost a decade before this product caught my eye. I wasn’t even interested in the various highlighting products that came and went I was (and still am) so in love with that product.

I still gravitate towards that when I’m not trying to do super pinky cheeks… a rare occasion for me these days. Blush is one of my favorite parts of doing my makeup and this finally gave me that satisfying “pinker!!!!!” feeling I was previously applying layers of blush to try and get to last all day. LINK

So, there you have it! Four more favorites, plus some bonus mentions. I think I will always love trying new beauty products because I can’t help but feel like that next hidden gem is just around the bend. I hope you find a new favorite here that makes your day a little brighter and easier.
